Lifelong Walsall supporters Olly Beckett and Paul Davis made a more than generous donation to the DSA earlier this month following their 'An Evening with WFC Legends' event which was held at Bentley Moor Social Club, Walsall on Thursday 17th May, and which was attendied by former players Kenny Mower, Stan Bennett, Jimmy McMoran, Nick Atthey and Roger Smith, all of whom recollected their time with Walsall Football Club.
The event was held in aid of both Walsall FC DSA, and little Teddie Phillips, a brave little boy who has been diagnosed with life limiting Globoid Cell Leukodystropophy, also known as Krabbe Disease.
Night event raised a staggering £2060 which was made up ticket sales, raffle ticket sales, an auction, and donations, with one donation of £1000 made on the night by someone who attended the event but wishes to remain anonymous.
Proceeds from the event were split between the 2 causes, with the DSA recieving £950 and little Teddie £1010.
Walsall FC DSA would like to take this opportunity to thank both Olly and Paul, as well as everyone else who helped to make this event such a success for their donation, and would like to assure everyone that the money will be used to make the match day experience for all disabled supporters of the club a more comfortable and enjoyable one.
