Walsall FC DSA hereby give notice of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) which has been called in order to fill a number of vacancies on the Steering Committee, and to discuss the future direction of the DSA.

The meeting will take place on:-

WEDNESDAY 1ST AUGUST 2018 (7:00pm) at:-

BENTLEY MOOR CLUB, BENTLEY DRIVE, WALSALL, WEST MIDLANDS, WS2 8RY

and has been called by acting Chairperson Ian Buckingham for the purpose of co-opting DSA members to the Steering Committee, allowing for the DSA to continue operating and avoid dissolution.

The meeting is open to MEMBERS OF WALSALL FC DSA ONLY (carers are welcome if required, but non-members may not take part in the meeting or in any vote held) and we urge as many of you as possible to attend and take part in the meeting. The DSA exists for you, but without your help, it may cease to exist.

The Steering Committee requires no fewer than FOUR DSA Members to operate in accordance with its 'Provisional' Constitution, and it is paramount that the positions of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary are filled by way of co-option at the EGM. There are two additional optional vacancies available to fill also, namely the positions of Community Liasion and Procurement & Fundraising, though these positions may still be filled by way of co-option, following the date of the EGM if needs be.

If you are interested in becoming more involved with the DSA, and feel you may be beneficial as a member of the Steering Committee, please contact acting Chairperson Ian Buckingham via email to walsallfcdsa@gmail.com, stating the position(s) you are interested in being co-opted to, no later than Monday 16th July 2018, in order to discuss things further and to help secure the DSA's future. A full list of candidates will be sent out to all elligible members, and posted on our website, not later than Wednesday 18th July 2018. A 'members show of hands' vote will be held at the EGM in order to appoint each available position.

All candidtaes must be a registered member of Walsall FC DSA, aged 18 years or above, seconded by at least one other member of Walsall FC DSA, and must agree to abide by the 'Provisional Constitution' of Walsall FC DSA.
